RED RIBBON WEEK

October 26th - October 30th

School Plan

„X School will be decorated with red ribbons.

„X Drug Education Announcements will be made each morning.

„X Teachers will decorate their doors for Red Ribbon Week. Doors will be judged on October 26th and prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners.

„X Each day will have a different emphasis as listed below.

Monday-October 26th

„X "We CAN all say No to Drugs" - Students will sign a pledge to be drug free. Teachers will place outside of their door.

„X Doors will be judged.

Tuesday- October 27th

„X "Drug Free! That‟ the „rite‟Decision"- Students will receive Drug Free pencils.

Wednesday- October 28th

„X "Get Smart, Don‟ Start"- There will be drug free questions on the monitors in the cafeteria and classes with the correct answers will receive a prize at the end of the day.

Thursday- October 29th

„X "I am TOO Bright for Drugs"- Students can wear their sunglasses to lunch.

Friday- October 30th

„X "Sock It To Drugs" -Red Ribbon Week Sock Hop

Students can wear red socks to school. Students who are good citizens will visit the Clark Community Center during P.E. They will be allowed to dance in their red socks and purchase red snacks.

Other Drug Education Activities

Students Working Against Tobacco will be here on November 19th to speak to the fourth and fifth grade classes.

The Mobile Infirmary Drug Bus will be here on February 25th and 26th to present to the fifth grade students.

A speaker will present the "I‟l Never Smoke Program" to all classes during P.E. in January.
