Mock Rock Investigations

This week third graders were learning about the earth and properties of matter.  Students compared the makeup of a chocolate chip cookie to a mock rock.  Students investigated the two items and recorded their findings in science notebooks.  This activity was made possible through the support of AMSTI who distributed science kits to participating schools for investigations such as the one described here.
