Parents,

 I know many of you work very hard to provide for your families.  Understandably, you must often arrive to work very early in the mornings.  However, teachers are not required to be at school until 8:00 a.m.  

Please keep in mind that we do not allow students into the building until 7:45 each morning.  Breakfast begins at 7:30 if your child eats breakfast, but those students who do not eat breakfast must remain outside on the benches until 7:45.  When children enter the building at 7:45, they sit in the hallways and read a book until 8:00.  At that time, classroom teachers are officially on duty and students are allowed into the classrooms.  If teachers are voluntarily here before 8:00 it is usually so that they can get some of their paperwork done.  Breakfast is not served after 8:00.  The tardy bell rings at 8:25 and class officially begins at that time. 

Students may not be supervised if they arrive on campus before 7:30 a.m.  The safety of our children are our main concern.  The faculty and staff of Robbins Elementary certainly want to keep your children as safe as possible.  We do everything that we can to protect them while they are in our custody.  However, we can not be responsible for students who are dropped off early to school unsupervised.  Please work with us in making Robbins a safe place to learn.
